Eli Kamara, MD

Eli Kamara, MD, is an Orthopaedic Surgeon at Montefiore and an Associate Professor at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He specializes in adult reconstructive Orthopaedic surgery, mainly hip and knee replacements. He also focuses on primary joint replacement, as well as revisions of hip and knee arthroplasty, anterior hip arthroplasty, partial knee replacement, knee arthroscopy, and fractures of the lower extremity.

Dr. Kamara received his Doctor of Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed a residency in Orthopaedics at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. He then completed a fellowship in Adult Reconstruction at the University of San Francisco School of Medicine.

Dr. Kamara has published articles and book chapters on hip and knee replacement, focusing on anterior approach hip replacement, robotic surgery, infection, and wound healing. He has presented his research at national and international meetings.

Dr. Kamara is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, the American Orthopaedic Association, and the New York State Society of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
